The inaugural Serenity K Gold Music Awards Gala proudly introduces a signature annual tradition rooted in musical inspiration, artistic influence, and the power of instrumental music to connect people across generations and around the world.
For Serenity K, the music and artistry of Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G have been a defining source of musical inspiration throughout her own journey as a saxophonist and recording artist. His distinctive sound, longevity, and ability to communicate emotion through instrumental music helped inspire Serenity K's appreciation for the saxophone and continue to influence the musical identity she is building through her own artistry.
That inspiration reaches across the world.
From Vietnam, acclaimed saxophonist Taruki Sax (Nguyễn Bảo Anh) shares a meaningful connection to that same musical influence. A graduate of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Taruki has emerged as one of Vietnam's accomplished young saxophone artists, recognized for his expressive musicianship, technical artistry, and ability to connect cultures through music. Kenny G's music also played an important role in inspiring Taruki's decision to pursue the saxophone, creating a remarkable artistic connection between two musicians whose journeys began thousands of miles apart.
Taruki's accomplishments include recognition as Outstanding Saxophone Performance Artist at Vietnam's 2024 National Band Festival, the release of his debut instrumental album Thanh âm thời gian (Sound of Time) in 2024, and representing Vietnamese contemporary artistry internationally at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, where he presented Saxophone Across Cultures: Vietnam Meets Japan to international audiences.
On September 18, 2027, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, these shared musical influences will come together as Taruki Sax presents a special saxophone rendition of “Going Home” for the Opening Honorary Musical Tribute of the inaugural Serenity K Gold Music Awards Gala.
The presentation marks the beginning of an annual Serenity K Gold Music Awards tradition celebrating the artists, sounds, and musical influences that inspire generations of musicians to discover their own voices.
